Jean d’Estrées created his eponymous brand in Paris in 1950. As Edith Piaf’s partner from the outset, Jean d’Estrées’ talents were also in demand in the film industry, both in Europe, for Michèle Morgan and Claudia Cardinale, and in Hollywood. He brought out Lauren Bacall’s beauty, invented Bette Davis’ pout and, inspired by Rita Hayworth, created matching lipsticks and nail varnishes.
Although they were initially reserved for an elite clientele, the beauty secrets of the world’s most beautiful women were soon to be revealed to the general public. Early 1970, the brand, as part of the L’Oreal Group, developed its know-how and a large network of beauty salons.
The brand specialists created high-performance speciality treatment routines. The creation of “Synergessence”, a beauty treatment that combines solutions and masks, revolutionized practices in the beauty industry. Based on a faster-acting method, its results are more visible and longer-lasting: the face is deeply moisturized and remodelled in depth. Synergessence remains the no 1 treatment in Jean d’Estrées speciality range today.
Jean d’Estrées has been a global nonperfume cosmetics brand since the early 2000s, thanks to the impetus provided by its new owner. Since the launch of the So nature brand in 2006, the company now offers organic or natural product ranges, for body and face.

Kamini has dedicated her life to understanding beauty therapy in a way that others don’t. Her personal philosophy, which is at the heart of her business, is that of changing the way people think as well as the way people look and feel about their face and body.
Her prime expertise and what she has become famous for in celebrity circles is her bespoke eyebrow shape – second to none in the business – and has to be tried to be believed. Having taught herself the miraculous technique, Kamini operates a swift, pain-free service that she confirms will eventually prevent systematic regrowth and will leave you with eyebrows looking like that of a movie star. Having diagnosed any problems with shape and current shaping techniques, Kamini is strict in her prognosis, adamant that tweezers, waxing or threading by other therapists is not an option.
